Life after Lycee

At Lycée international de Calgary, we believe our education is a passport to the world. For our graduates, the path to post-secondary education is a road well traveled.

In addition to graduating with a high school diploma from Alberta, Lycée alumni also finish their studies with the Baccalauréat, the internationally recognized diploma from France known for its high academic standards. This gives graduates a unique advantage to stand out to university admissions teams from the world’s best universities.

Lycée Calgary alumni have excelled at prestigious institutions across Canada and Europe, studying medicine, engineering, science, business and more.

The Baccalauréat degree: Did you know?

  • All universities in Canada will admit students with French bac credentials.
  • Students can apply to ALL the same programs, and some extra ones too! Laval, University of Ottawa, UQAM and others allow direct entry to certain medical and law programs for bac students.

Many universities grant transfer credits, which are first year university credits, allowing students to complete their degree in three years instead of four. That can be as many as 30 credits.
