Lycée international de Calgary (Lycée Louis Pasteur Society) is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Elected during the Annual General Meeting, the Board sets the strategic direction for the school and supports the Head of School and staff in maintaining the high standards of excellence at Lycée international de Calgary.
Jennifer and her family have been members of the Lycée community since 2014. Jennifer has one child attending the Lycée.
Jennifer is a Director of enterprise asset management at Enbridge Inc. and has over 15 years’ experience in strategy, financial and operational performance across Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Transportation. She holds an undergraduate degree in Commerce (she studied her final semester in France) as well as a Master of Business Administration.
Benoît and his family have been members of the Lycée community since 2006. Benoît has two children attending the school in High School. His two older daughters graduated from the Lycée respectively in 2018 and in 2020. Benoît and his wife have been chairing Lycée Casino fundraising for the past six years.
Benoît currently works as an internal management consultant in the oil and gas industry at Plains Midstream Canada. He has a Master of Engineering in agriculture and food processing. He has previously worked in France and Toronto for large food manufacturing companies as production manager and process consultant.
Benoît is also a Board member and founder of the French and Francophone community association – Calgary Accueil – where he is in charge of the organization of community events and the cooperation with other Albertan Francophone Associations.
Benoît is a member of the Executive committee and one of the Board representatives at the School Council. As Vice-Chair of the Board, he presides over Board and Executive Committee meetings in the absence of the Chair.
David and his family have been members of the Lycée community since 2010. David currently has two boys attending the Lycée.
David is a partner of Dentons, the world’s largest law firm. He has an undergraduate degree in Finance and a number of law degrees, and is an International Bar Association Fellow. His practice is focused on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and securities law. He has been senior counsel in some of Canada’s largest M&A transactions, which have won a number of legal awards in North America and Asia. David is recognized as a leading lawyer in a number of legal publications, has spoken at numerous conferences and has published many articles on corporate governance and corporate law matters.
As a Director of the Lycée, David is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Charlotte has been a member of the Lycée community since 2011. Charlotte has three daughters attending the Lycée.
Charlotte manages the Low Carbon transition at ConocoPhillips Canada. She has a Master of Engineering from l’École des Mines (Albi, France) and is a Professional Engineer registered with APEGA. She has been working in Calgary for major Oil and Gas Companies for the past 18 years, with specific expertise in the planning, development, and execution of capital projects while focusing on effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and partnership approvals.
Charlotte is a member of the Executive committee. As Secretary of the Board, she ensures proper minutes are recorded and presented to subsequent meetings for approval.
Heather and her family have been members of the Lycée community since 2017. Heather has one child attending the Lycée.
Heather is the Managing Director, Strategy and Professional Development for the Alberta Real Estate Association, which is the professional association for the provinces 10,500+ REALTORS®, where she also oversees advocacy and communications efforts. Heather has two decades of experience in the non-profit and private sectors, primarily focused on business, external relations, and strategic planning. She has a Masters of Science in Journalism from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts (Hon.) in Political Science from the University of Alberta.
As a Director of the Lycée, Heather chairs the Governance Committee.
Gitane and her family have been members of the Lycée community since 2019. Gitane currently has two daughters attending the Lycée.
Gitane is a Special Advisor for External Affairs at TransAlta. She provided strategic insight and expertise on priority files related to the federal government and U.S. government. Prior to joining TransAlta, Gitane worked for the Government of Alberta and Government of Canada in a variety of roles, including as Deputy Minister of International and Intergovernmental Relations, Alberta’s Senior Representative to the United States in Washington, D.C. and Canada’s Consul General in Chicago. Gitane holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia.
Gitane is perfectly bilingual and is excited to be contributing to the Lycée Board starting in 2020-2021.
Lisa and her family have been members of the Lycée community since 2016. Lisa currently has one child attending the Lycée.
Lisa is a Registered Psychologist at Moroz Child Psychology and worked previously for Renfrew Educational Services. Before moving to Calgary, Lisa lived and worked in Montreal; she conducted clinical research in the Montreal Children’s Hospital Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) research clinics, and she taught courses at McGill University.
She conducts therapy and psychoeducational assessments with children, adolescents, and young adults, and is specialized in assessing for ADHD, ASD, learning disorders, giftedness, anxiety and mood disorders. Lisa holds a Ph.D. in Applied Child Psychology from McGill University, a Master of Education from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts (Major in Psychology) from Boston College.
As a psychoeducational expert, Lisa is excited to be contributing to the Lycée Board, focusing on matters regarding students’ psychological wellness and enhancement of learning.
Nazimah and her family have been members of the Lycée community since 2015. Nazimah currently has two children attending the Lycée.
Nazimah is a Management Consultant who advises clients on business improvement projects. Previously, she spent 10 years with the Management Consulting team at MNP LLP, primarily providing advisory services to clients in the electric utility sector. She has worked with clients in a variety of industries including Energy, Utilities, Construction and Manufacturing in the Public and Private sectors. Nazimah holds an MBA from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Engineering from McMaster University.
Nazimah is also a member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants, and is excited to be contributing to the Lycée Board starting in 2020-2021.
Emily and her family have been members of the Lycée community since 2014, and her two children are currently attending the Lycée.
Emily is the Managing Partner of Rice & Co, a modern CPA firm operating in Alberta and British Columbia. Outside of the office, Emily is a strong supporter of the local arts community and sits on the Theatre Calgary Endowment Foundation.
Emily is a Certified Public Accountant in Canada, the United States and Hong-Kong, and also holds an Institute of Corporate Directors ICD.D designation, the leading designation for governance professionals and independent directors. In addition to accounting, Emily brings IT skills to the Board, as a Certified Information System Auditor, with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Memorial University of Newfoundland.
As a Director of the Lycée, Emily is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Arsheela and her family have been members of the Lycée community since 2018, and her two children are currently attending the Lycée.
She is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Chartered Certified Accountant designation from Oxford Brookes University in the UK. She has been working with the Oil and Gas industry for over 12 years. She has extensive experience in derivative accounting and financial reporting, and is well versed with International Financial Reporting Standards and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Arsheela is a new board member, she will be contributing starting in 2022-2023.
Ian has been a member of the Lycée community since 2021. His daughter is currently attending the Lycée.
Ian has experience developing, financing and executing international energy projects. He is a financial lawyer by training, and holds an A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard University, and LL.B. from the University of Toronto and an M. Phil. from the University of Cambridge. He has been a senior executive at major Canadian gas and power companies and previously was Counsel to the Treasury of the World Bank in Washington D.C. Currently he is Chief Financial Officer of Priority Transactions Accelerator Group lnc. (PTAG) a Washington, DC based boutique in the international non-profit sector advising multilateral development banks and major NGOs in the mobilization of financial resources, especially for environmental purposes.
Ian speaks Spanish, Portuguese, English, and French. He is excited to be contributing to the Lycée Board, starting in 2022-2023.
Stuart has been a member of the Lycée community since 2018. Stuart’s daughter is currently enrolled at the Lycée.
Stuart Olley is a senior partner in Gowling WLG’s Capital Markets, M&A and Private Equity groups in Calgary. Stuart holds a Master in Law from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, a MBA and LLB from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. Stuart is a present or past director of a number of public companies.
As a Director of the Lycée, Stuart is a member of the Governance Committee.
