Every gift to this unrestricted annual fund directly supports initiatives across five key areas of impact: STEM, Arts & Humanities, Athletics & Wellness, Financial Aid, and Emerging Opportunities. Because tuition and government funding alone covers core operations, your support bridges the gap to provide the specialized equipment, guest visits, outings, and other experiences that elevate an already strong educational base to be truly remarkable. As a registered charity, the Lycée can issue tax receipts for every eligible gift over $20.

What is the Lycée Experience Fund?
It is an unrestricted annual fund geared to enabling experiential learning activities for Lycée students.
Is my contribution tax-deductible, and what is the deadline?
Yes. As the Lycée Louis Pasteur Society is a registered Canadian charity, 100% of your gift is eligible for an official tax receipt. Under CRA guidelines, funds must be received (not just committed or pledged) by December 31st to qualify for that tax year. Tax receipts are issued for gifts of $20 or more.
Why can’t tuition simply be raised to cover these extra experiences?
We aim to keep tuition accessible and stable. Raising tuition forces all families into mandatory increases, whereas voluntary donations allow families to give according to their means while taking advantage of personal tax credits.
Why are you raising additional money for the school? Do we really need philanthropy?
Philanthropy is about shared investment in our children’s community. When parents, board members, and staff participate, it models active civic engagement for our students, deepens trust among families, and demonstrates that our community is deeply committed to its mission.
Can I designate how my gift is used?
Yes. The Lycée Experience Fund allows donors to direct their annual gift to a specific area of impact: Arts & Humanities, Athletics and Wellness, STEM, Financial Aid, or Emerging Opportunities. While these gifts remain unrestricted, we honour donor intent and will report to the community how funds were distributed across these preferences.
Does a small gift really make a difference?
Absolutely. Participation rate is our key metric. High community participation demonstrates unity and consistent support. Monthly contributions are possible as well.
Are these gifts used for capital projects or long-term endowments?
No. The Annual Fund provides immediate operational support to enrich current-year student experiences across campus.
Who can participate?
Our entire community—parents, board members, faculty, staff, alumni, and grandparents. We aim for 100% participation from our board and leadership team to set the tone.
