Our preschool program encompasses the foundational years of our early-years program called Maternelle. Petite Section, for three-year-olds, and Moyenne Section for four-year-olds, are dedicated to laying a strong groundwork for French language acquisition, social-emotional development, and early academic readiness.
Play-Based Immersion
and Personalized Attention
The learning environment at this stage is built around play-based learning, allowing students to naturally develop foundational literacy and numeracy skills while fostering curiosity and social development.
- Focus on French: Language acquisition is the central focus, with almost all instruction delivered in French. This immersive environment allows students to naturally and comfortably integrate the French language into their daily routines and communication. Students also participate in 30 minutes of targeted English instruction daily.
Small Classes, Big Support
We ensure every child receives the care and attention necessary to thrive in an immersive environment.
- Capped Class Sizes: We maintain five classes of preschool, each strictly capped at 16 students.
- Dual Supervision: Crucially, every preschool class is supported by both a certified French teacher and a dedicated educator. This ratio provides the personalized attention, emotional support, and language reinforcement essential for success in the early years.
Good to know
- We require all students at the school to be potty trained,
- Students must turn three by December 31st of their first school year for petite section and four for moyenne section.
- Petite Section and Moyenne Section classes are mixed classes with both age groups together.
