AEFE Accreditation

At Lycée Calgary, our AEFE accreditation is the seal of quality that guarantees the rigour of the French national curriculum, the excellence of our teaching staff, and the ease of transfer to over 600 world-class schools. Choosing us means providing your child with a unified, internationally recognized education that is a true passport to global mobility and excellence higher education.

Our educational commitment is anchored by two key government guarantees from France, ensuring maximum value and unparalleled global mobility for your child.

Homologation:
The Curriculum Guarantee

Our curriculum is officially certified (known as homologation) by the French Ministry of National Education (MENJS).

What it means for your family: This is the ultimate assurance that the content, standards, and evaluation methods taught here are identical to those in every public school in France and the 600 schools of the network of French Schools abroad. This official government approval guarantees the integrity and worldwide recognition of the Baccalauréat diploma your child will earn. Our program maintains the academic rigour the French system is known for, leading to exceptional student outcomes.

The AEFE Network:
Your Global Mobility Partner

We are a proud partner school within the AEFE (Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Étranger) network, a government agency that coordinates over 600 accredited French schools in 138 countries. This membership creates a world of opportunities for your student.

Seamless Transferability & Educational Continuity

This is the single greatest advantage for internationally mobile families. A student transferring from Lycée Calgary to any other AEFE-accredited school, whether in Paris, London, Dubai, or Houston, can seamlessly continue their education at their appropriate grade level, without placement tests or curriculum equivalency reviews. The curriculum is their visa.

International Exchange Programs (ADN-AEFE)

Our students gain access to dedicated AEFE programs that promote global citizenship. The ADN-AEFE Exchange Program allows Grade 10 students to study for several weeks in another AEFE school abroad. This provides an extraordinary opportunity for cultural immersion, language practice, and personal growth while continuing their regular French national curriculum.

Choosing Lycée Calgary means providing your child with a unified, internationally recognized education that is a true passport to global mobility and higher education.
