Community Partnership

The Heart of Calgary’s Francophone Community

Calgary is home to a vibrant and diverse Francophone community whose roots run deep in the city’s history. French speakers first settled in the area in the late 19th century, notably in the historic district of Rouleauville (now called Mission), which became an early cultural center for Francophones.

Today, Calgary’s French-speaking population is richer and more multicultural than ever. It includes long-established Franco-Albertans, French-speaking Canadians from across the country, and newcomers from Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond. This mix of cultures contributes to a lively network of schools, cultural institutions, community organizations, and events that celebrate the French language and Francophone heritage.

As a French international school, we are continually building meaningful partnerships within the Francophone community and are pleased to introduce some of our growing network of Francophone partners. Engaging with our local Francophone community is essential to us, as it allows us to support and connect our families with trusted organizations and experiences that reflect our commitment to offering high-quality French resources, services, and recommendations.
