A Seamless Integration of Two Curricula
We seamlessly integrate two renowned programs: the rigorous academic standards of the French Ministry of Education with Alberta Education’s curriculum. Instruction is delivered mostly in French, while English and Social Studies are taught in English, ensuring a coherent and challenging experience.
The innovative structure delivers the dual benefit of a traditional French immersion and a Francophone school education, guaranteeing both local cultural relevance and adherence to global performance benchmarks.
(Note: Our Preschool/Maternelle program exclusively follows the French curriculum, with an added 30 minutes of English instruction per day.)
Unparalleled Outcomes: The Dual-Credential Advantage
Our comprehensive curriculum delivers a powerful educational advantage. Upon graduation, students earn both the internationally-recognized French Baccalauréat and the Alberta High School Diploma. This dual credential is a rare and powerful asset, opening doors to top universities in Canada, Europe, the US, and worldwide.
Lycée Calgary ensures students achieve exceptional proficiency, moving beyond basic communication to academic and professional bilingualism in both French and English, as well as Spanish starting in grade six. We offer a challenging, well-rounded education by successfully blending strong STEM subjects with robust offerings in the humanities, arts, and physical education.
This academically and linguistically rich environment cultivates the intercultural competence, critical thinking and adaptable mindset that only a truly international school can embody.
