In the French system, junior high is known as coll\u00e8ge. This critical stage, spanning grades 6 to 9 (or Sixi\u00e8me to Troisi\u00e8me), is where we expand on elementary foundations, focusing on abstract concepts, rigorous analysis, and cross-disciplinary learning. The Junior High stage ends with the Dipl\u00f4me National du Brevet (DNB) examination at the end of the <\/span>Troisi\u00e8me<\/span><\/i> year (Grade 9 in addition to the Alberta Provincial Achievement Tests.) The DNB is a national benchmark that certifies the student’s mastery of core knowledge and skills acquired throughout<\/span> coll\u00e8ge. It serves as the first official, nationally recognized diploma in their French academic journey.
